This week, we celebrated dyslexia awareness week. The children were given the opportunity to discuss how everyone learns differently and how our brains process information differently. We also found out about famous inspirational people who have dyslexia. Please see below the presentation shown in assembly.
The PTA will be holding an Autumn Disco on Thursday 12th October
Reception and KS1 3.30pm-4.30pm and KS2 5pm-6pm. Tickets are £2 per child and must be bought via My Child at School.
We are looking forward to welcoming parents/carers into school to discuss how your child has settled into their new group, celebrate their learning and to look at the year ahead.
The timings will be (Whole School except Albert and Nursery):
Tuesday 17th October: 3.30pm – 7pm
Thursday 19th October: 3.30pm – 5.30pm
Albert Class will have their parents’ evenings on:
Wednesday 18th October – 3.30pm-6pm
Thursday 19th October: 3.30pm - 5.30pm
Nursery will have their parents’ evenings on:
Tuesday 17th October: 3.30pm – 7pm
Wednesday 18th October – 3.30pm-5pm
These meetings need to be booked online via My Child at School, please speak to the school office if you need assistance with your login details.
We will be holding open evenings for prospective parents on Tuesday 3rd October and Thursday 2nd November at 5pm. Please call the office on 020 8857 5003 to book in.

Year 6 will be holding a bake sale on Thursday 6th July at 3.15 - All proceeds will go to the Year 6 School Leavers Disco.

The Summer Fayre will be on Thursday 29th June at 3.15pm - 5.30pm. We look forward to having a fun-filled afternoon.
The Parents and Teachers Association of Horn Park Primary School would like to invite you to join us at the Horn Park Primary School Summer Fayre on Thursday 29th June 2023 at 3.15pm-5.30pm.

Dear Parents/Carers, Following on from my previous communication, I am writing to provide further details of the arrangements for the third and fourth day of NEU teacher strike action on Thursday 27th April and Tuesday 2nd May. Please look at this chart to see which classes are open or closed.
For those children in school, we aim to keep to the normal routines. Our kitchen will serve hot food and Alpha club will open as usual. You will be contacted by email if your child’s after school will be changed on these days. Year 6 booster sessions will be on as normal for the children who are in school. If your child is eligible for free school meals and you wish to access a hot school lunch, please click on link below and complete this form.
Whilst we are working closely with our staff union representatives, there may be circumstances where situations change with minimal notice. We are confident that those classes who we have identified as being open will do so. There may however be situations whereby a class which has been deemed to be closed is able to remain open. If this is the case, we will contact parents of children in that class at the earliest possible convenience on each day.
We appreciate that this situation will cause some difficulty for families and are sorry for the disruption it may cause. We remain committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our pupils and delivering high-quality teaching. Please bear in mind there is the possibility that agreements could be reached between national unions and government officials and strikes could be called off. In this case, school would be open for all children as normal. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
